Bible Saturday 4/25: Paul's Example

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 130:1-8. Verses 5 and 6, in what specific way do I find myself waiting for the Lord of late? What makes the waiting more bearable? What will be my reward?

Ezekiel 16:1-63. God pours out on Jerusalem his sorrow, anger—and pity—for her shameful infidelity. When have I done something that grieved God deeply? How did it turn out?

I Corinthians 4:1-13. Fools for Christ, the filth of the world, appointed to death: what can I learn from Paul’s sold-out approach to the ministry?

John 6:1-14. Where is there a situation of scarcity or lack that I can ask Jesus to turn into abundance and plenty today?
