Bible Tuesday 4/28: He's Ever with Me

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 139:1-24. Verses 13-16, fearfully and wonderfully made. For what situation in my bodily health—or that of someone dear to me—shall I claim this God-given birthright today?

Ezekiel 19:1-14. Israel as a lion taken captive, a vine ravaged by fire. When was I brought low by by leaning on self-reliance instead of God-reliance? Application to present needs?

I Corinthians 5:9-13. As sin and repentance are less and less talked about even in the churches—let alone the broader culture—how well is my church upholding the righteousness that God requires of us all?

John 6:41-51. Jesus invites me to be taught by him and to be fed by him and to find life in him. What will that specifically look like as I go about my everyday activities?
