Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 23:1-6. Verse 3, what will it specifically look like today if I let God lead me in the paths of righteousness?
Ezekiel 31:1-18. Verses 9, 16, 18, trees of Eden. How am I presented every day with a similar choice to that of Adam and Eve: to obey God or disobey him, with all the consequences that follow?
I Corinthians 10:23 - 11:1. Verses 24, 33, what opportunities can I find today to put the other person first and myself second, for the glory of God?
John 9:1-12. In my immediate surroundings right now, where is spiritual blindness that i can ask Jesus to heal? Where is spiritual darkness that he can flood with light?
