Bible Thursday 6/18: Brave Ananias

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-48. Verse 10, let me not wander from your commandments. What are the factors that make it all too easy for me to stray from the path God wants me on? How shall I guard against this today?

I Samuel 23:1-29. David, on the run from Saul’s relentless pursuit, seeks God and is protected. What are some examples of answered prayer that I’ve had so far this year? Action point for today?

Acts 9:10-19. The brave Ananias ministers to the blinded Paul. Who is right at the threshold of the kingdom, eager but hesitating, for whom I can act the part of Ananias today?

Mark 3:7-12. Related, as the world’s great upheaval continues over this Jesus—who is he anyway, and why won’t he stay dead—what role can I play in serving him, making him known?
