Bible Sunday 6/21: Tabitha Alive

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:129-176. Verse 135, make your face shine on me. As God answers this prayer for me today, what will I behold and see, both with my spiritual sight and with my outward eyes?

I Samuel 26:1-25. David again spares King Saul’s life, and they again exchange courteous words. Verse 24, who have I been at odds with, that I should nevertheless treat generously, according to the Golden Rule?

Acts 9:32-43. Peter, in the name of Jesus, heals a paralytic at Lydda and raises a woman from the dead at Joppa. Who is urgently in need of Christ-healing today? What must I do?

Mark 3:31-35. Almost too good to be true: Jesus invites me to be his brother! What can I therefore expect from him? What does he expect from me, here and now?
