Bible Thursday 6/25: Mustard Seed

Studying this morning's readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 135:1-21. Verse 15, in what way am I tempted to idolize silver and gold? Why does this anger God?

I Samuel 30:1-31. The families of David’s army are rescued from the enemy, along with much plunder which David distributes generously. Verse 24, what opportunity can I find today to live more unselfishly?

Acts 10:34-48. Peter preaches Christ to the centurion’s Gentile friends, who receive the Holy Spirit and are baptized. Who needs to hear about Jesus from me today? What am I waiting for?

Mark 4:21-34. Have I even a tiny mustard seed of faith that Jesus is who says he is? Then where’s the proof in my life?
