Bible Sunday 10/16: Paul's Joy

Psalm 150:1-6. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord,” says the very last verse of the very last psalm. Can I pause right now and list ten praises in my present experience?

Nehemiah 3:1-32. If my church wrote up a work log of tasks and roles for each of us by name, laboring to help build the Kingdom of God, what might it record and reveal?

Philippians 1:12-18. How can I live today with more of the utter faith that made Paul sure everything was to God’s purpose and glory, even his imprisonment, even Christians letting him down?

Luke 13:18-21. How is God’s yeast or leaven at work in me during this season of my life? How might God want to use me to BE his leaven with someone, or somewhere I’m needed?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the  St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think. Where is your self-examination leading today?
