Bible Monday 10/17: Never Unarmed

Psalm 25:1-22. If I'm expressing the "ease of soul" that comes from fearing God (verse 13, KJV), what would others notice about me today? What would they notice if I'm not?

Nehemiah 4:1-23. Am I so much on guard and alert to spiritual warfare that I’m never without a weapon in hand, never undressed to the enemy?

Philippians 1:19-26. How might I be changed a month from now, inside and out, if I really dwelt for 30 days with Paul’s attitude, “To live is Christ, to die is gain” (verse 21, KJV)?

Luke 13:22-30. What steps can I take to conduct myself toward the marginalized of this world as if really convinced Jesus will bring about the great inversion of status described here?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the  St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think. Where is your self-examination leading today?
