Bible Monday 10/24: Housekeeping

Psalm 41:1-13. Have I ever been betrayed by a friend, as Jesus was by Judas, or been that betrayer (verse 9)?  Was there forgiveness?  Lessons learned and retained?

Nehemiah 11:1-36. When something happens by chance today (verse 1, see also Acts 1:26), can I pause and ask God how he intends it for good, since all things are for a purpose with him?

Philippians 4:1-9. Tonight before I sleep, can I review the day and assess how I did with the housekeeping of heart and mind that Christ expects of me in verses 7-8?

Luke 15:8-10. Who are three women, not in my family, that Jesus has put into the soul-rescuing business for my example and benefit?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
