Bible Monday 11/14: God and Caesar

Psalm 89:1-52. In verse 15 (KJV), what does it mean to "know the joyful sound" from God? What does it mean to "walk in his light"?

Isaiah 19:1-25. In the news right now, what are some examples of worldly wisdom that is foolish in God's sight (verses 11-14)? Harder question: am I taken in by any of that?

I Thessalonians 5:1-11. What evidence would others see in me today, if I had on God's armor of faith, love, and hope (verse 8)?

Luke 20:20-26. As we absorb the election results, how well are Christians striking the balance between rendering to Caesar and to God?  What should I be doing differently?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
