Bible Friday 12/16: Don't Go Cold

Psalm 51:1-19. What more can I do at this time in my life to teach God's ways to transgressors (verse 13)? What do's and don'ts should I follow for best results?

Isaiah 51:1-23. What specific comfort do I need from God right now? What specific fear can he allay for me (verses 12-13))?

Revelation 17:1-18. How shall I balance the complexity of these lurid images with the simplicity of Jesus' two commandments -- love God, love others -- so as to be a better Christian this day?

Matthew 24:3-14. Related to the above, when the Lord warns that rampant iniquity may make our love grow cold (verse 12, KJV), how might that overtake me, and how can I prevent it?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
