Bible Friday 12/30: A New Creation

Psalm 20:1-9. Millennia removed from the ritual sacrifices of ancient Israel (verse 3), how can I find a deeper, truer contemporary expression of the offerings God wants from me?

Isaiah 65:1-25. If God's new creation has not only an outward dimension in the future but also an inward dimension right now (verses 17-25), how can I participate and how could others tell I am?

Revelation 22:1-11. What specific needs for healing of the nations (verse 2) await us in the coming year? What specific leaves from God's tree of life can I be praying for to answer those needs?

Matthew 25:14-30. When have I allowed fear, fatalism, and self-seeking to keep me from faithfully using the gifts of God for the glory of God (verses 24-25)? How did I learn or grow from the mistake?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think. Where is your self-examination leading today?
