Bible Friday 12/9: Holy Sepulchre

Psalm 31:1-24. Translated into things I could feel and experience right now, what's involved in either God or the enemy having me "in his hand" (verses 5, 8, 15)?

Isaiah 44:1-28. What thirst is within my soul today, or what situation of drought do I know of, that God can fill (verse 3)? What false nourishment should I stop feeding on (verse 20)?

Revelation 13:1-10. What does it say about our times that blasphemy is almost never diagnosed or condemned, even in sermons or among the faithful (verses 5-6)?

Luke 23:50-56. What qualities in Joseph of Arimathea should I seek to emulate at this holy season? In what ways should I seek to excel him?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
