Bible Saturday 12/10: Joy from Tears

Psalm 30:1-12. What's one memorable time when God has turned my tears to joy and my mourning to dancing (verses 5, 11)? Is is written on my mental doorpost for reliance in times of discouragement?

Isaiah 45:1-25. Am I clear that our God never hides himself, that he is an active Savior who “shows up," as the kids say — even when it seems otherwise (verse 15)?

Revelation 13:11-18. What false “miracles” are paraded by the false gods of today’s world to entice us away from the one true God (verse 14)?

Luke 24:1-12. What do I as a man have to learn about receptive faith and spiritual readiness from the women who were first at the empty tomb, and whose reports the men disbelieved?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Click and see what you think.  Where is your self-examination leading today?
