Bible Monday 9/26: Childlike

Psalm 89:1-52. What present trial in my life has me wearily crying out, "How long, O Lord?" (verse 46). What past proof of his faithfulness can I lean on for assurance?

Job 33:1-33. From what captivity do I need Jesus to ransom me today (verse 23)?

II Corinthians 6:11-18. Where am I unequally yoked with unbelievers right now (verse 14 KJV)? How can I correct that while continuing to love my neighbor -- and my enemy -- as Christ commands?

Luke 9:43-50.  How does the ambition to "be the greatest" tempt me? What's one thing I can do today to be more spiritually childlike?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the  St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Where is your self-examination leading today?
