Bible Tuesday 9/27: We're His People

Psalm 100:1-5. How might the goodness of God be more present to me, if I took time today to memorize this short Psalm and then prayed it aloud the next three mornings?

Job 34:1-37. Where do I fall into the same error as Elihu (verses 18, 19) by unthinking deference to fallible human authorities or simplistic notions of God?

II Corinthians 7:1-16. What opportunity may await me, or someone I know, from the godly sorrow that produces repentance and renewal (verses 9-11)?

Luke 9:51-56. Where do I fall into the same error as James and John (verse 54) by imagining those who reject Jesus deserve harsh punishment?

These are some of the questions I asked myself in studying this morning's four readings from the  St. James Daily Devotional Guide. Where is your self-examination leading today?
