Bible Thursday 10/26: Armor

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 37:1-40. Verse 16, am I in danger of my possessions owning me, more than I own them? By what prayers and practices can I enlist God's protection against this?

II Chronicles 6:1-42. Verse 4 KJV, what God's mouth speaks, God's hands fulfill. Solomon's long prayer in this chapter is a manifold application of that. What need of mine can this meet today?

Ephesians 6:10-24. Which part of the armor of God do I wear the best? Which part do I need to wear more consistently? Verse 12, how can I get better at spiritual wrestling?

Luke 12:54-56. How can I get better at discerning the times? Where can I obtain the spiritual weather reports Jesus is talking about here?
