Bible Tuesday 10/24: His Bride

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 39:1-13. Verses 6 and 7, what am I vain or conceited or prideful about? How is that specifically corrected by placing my hope in God? Prayer point for today?

II Chronicles 4:1-22. Repeating from yesterday: which pleases God more, this gorgeous ornamentation for his "house," or the unadorned churches of today? Irrelevant?

Ephesians 5:22-33. Which sex does this favor, the man or the woman? Verse 32 KJV, what is the mystery about our human institution of marriage and about the church as Christ's bride?

Luke 12:35-48. Not in regard to my salvation, but simply to Christ's appraisal of me, if he returns today would my yesterday delight him or disappoint him? Action point?
