Bible Monday 12/11: Eucharist

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 9:1-20. Verse 12 KJV, where is the cry of the humble heard in my community at this holy season? What am I doing about it? What is my church doing about it?

Daniel 4:1-37. Short of an ordeal like this king underwent, what would it take for America's leaders to submit under God? What are Christians doing right or wrong to further that?

Revelation 14:1-13. Verse 4, follow the Lamb wherever he goes. In what way do I best obey this? In what way do I resist, hesitate, or not even try? What's involved for me to do better?

Luke 22:14-23. Where does the Eucharist, the Lord's Supper, or holy communion fit into my faith life? Is Jesus pleased or grieved when he sees how I and my church treat this command?
