Bible Wednesday 3/22: Godly Womanhood

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 119:97-120. Recognizing that God's word is a lamp and light for me (verse 105), what part have I to play in keeping it plugged and turned on for my benefit today?

Proverbs 31:1-31. Who are one or more women outside my own family that I admire for mirroring this portrait of godly feminine virtue, devotion, and accomplishment? Have I let them know?

Ecclesiastes 3:16-22. Can this reminder that we are not so far above the animals after all, make me more God-reliant today, more patient with myself and everyone else?

Matthew 19:15-20. In verse 17, is Jesus talking down his human goodness or lifting up his divine sonship? What difference does it make in my daily life?
