Bible Thursday 3/23: Counterfeits

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 85:1-13. How would this day be different if hour by hour I keep listening for what God has to say; listening, listening, listening (verse 8)?

Ecclesiastes 4:1-16. What two individuals outside my family are the are the most loyal and godly of friends to me, with whom I form a threefold cord (verse 12)?  Action point for today?

Galatians 1:1-10. What messengers and messages seek to deceive me with a counterfeit gospel (verses 6-9)? Action point for today?

Matthew 18:21-35. Where have I had (or do I even now have) the opportunity to forgive someone as lavishly as God in Christ has forgiven me?
