Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 62:1-12. When have I experienced the vanity of evaluating persons by high or low degree (verse 9, KJV)? What surprises came when I saw more as God sees? Prayer point for today?
Exodus 23:1-33. Has God ever sent me an angel (verses 20-22)? What was the result? What did I learn that bears remembering for this day, this time in my life?
I Corinthians 4:1-8. As followers of Jesus, aren't you and I stewards of the mysteries of God, much as Paul and Apollos were (verse 1, KJV). What does that require of me today?
John 7:1-13. Why does the world hate Jesus, who after all came to save it (verse 7)? How does that hatred impact me as his disciple? Action point?
