Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 139:1-24. Verses 13-16, in praying for my health and that of others, how can I accept that we're known to God literally at the cellular level and from the moment of conception?
Numbers 27:1-23. Verses 18-20, where have I seen, or where do I now hope to see, God's sure wisdom in filing an important post? Prayer point?
Acts 17:10-21. Verse 11, who do I know that is Berean in searching the Scriptures? How can I emulate them? Verse 21, how do fads in ideas get at me? How can I defend against this?
Mark 10:13-22. What is the main obstacle these days to children following Jesus? The main obstacle to adult Christians becoming childlike? What is my church doing about it?
