Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 50:1-23. Verses 14 and 23, what offerings can I give God today that will truly please him? What does he want from me? What doesn't he care about? Action point?
Numbers 25:1-18. How does sexual appetite come between God and his people in today's world? With who or what do Christians now "commit whoredom"? Prayer point?
Acts 16:25-40. How many qualities of a true Christian does Paul display in this story? In which of them shall I particularly pray God to help me grow?
Mark 9:38-50. Verses 43-48, these stern commands obviously apply to other people, but could they possibly apply also to me? In what specific way? Action point?
