Bible Tuesday 8/1: A Blind Beggar

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 61:1-8. Verse 2 KJV, what seems overwhelming in my life right now, or in our world? What shall I pray God to show me or do for me, to make it less so?

Numbers 30:1-16. How would I explain to a young woman seeking God, this rule of subservience for her sex, in contrast to the "neither male nor female" of Galatians 3:28?

Acts 18:12-23. What qualities of Gallio are desirable or undesirable in a public official for us as Christians? What more could my church do to protect or project faith in the public square?

Mark 10:46-52. Here is how Jesus dealt with a street beggar.  How do I and my church deal with them? Why the difference?
