Bible Wednesday 8/30: Almost

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 12:1-8. Verse 8 KJV, what vile individuals are exalted in our world today? How does it embolden masses of the wicked? What am I doing about it? What's my church doing?

Joshua 23:1-16. When have I seen a leader mighty in God's service, pass from the scene? What happened next? What part did I play? What did I learn?

Acts 26:24 - 27:12. What can I learn about evangelism from the responses to Paul by Festus (verse 24) and Agrippa (verse 28)? Who needs to hear the gospel from me today or soon?

Mark 15:22-32. Verse 24, if the soldiers grabbing for the crucified Lord's few belongings typify a "get what I can" attitude toward Jesus, how does that infect me and other Christians? Prayer point?
