Bible Wednesday 8/16: Resurrection

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 119:121-144. Five times here, the psalmist declares himself God's servant (KJV). How central is that to my identity? Consciously living into that, how will I be a different person today?

Joshua 9:1-27. Here is the inverse of Jesus' teaching that in him the truth makes us free. Gibeon learns that our lies enslave us. When have I experienced or witnessed that? Prayer point?

Acts 21:1-14. Verse 5, what does kneeling have to do with praying? Shall I do it more? Verse 14, Paul's friends say "God's will be done" at the last. Why can't we learn to say it first?

Mark 12:18-27. Verse 24, what difference does God's resurrection power make for me in this life? Undervaluing it, what errors will I fall into? Where do I need to see that power today?
