Bible Tuesday 8/15: The Boy King

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 45:1-17. Reading the first seven verses as a prophecy of Jesus, King of Kings, what are three qualities of his, seen here, that I could explain to a nonbeliever? And partake of today?

Joshua 8:1-35. As Israel here conquers Ai after being defeated by them earlier, when has God taught me a lesson failure becoming success? Prayer point?

Luke 2:41-50. Verse 49 KJV, for me personally in life right now, what would constitute being "about my Father's business" on this day or during this year?

John 2:1-12. Verse 5 is often taken as symbolic of Mary's role in pointing us by word and example to Jesus. What is Mary to me? Why does it matter? Action point?
