Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalm 102:1-28. Verse 13 KJV, how would the dust of Zion differ from the earthly dust of which God made Adam? Am I alert to how glorious even the tiniest things in heaven will be?
I Chronicles 15:1-29. Why would David, a warrior king, dance before God's ark? Am I too reserved in expressing the joy of the Lord? What small everyday changes might I make?
II Corinthians 10:1-11. Verses 3-5, what small everyday steps can I take to bring my thoughts more fully captive to the obedience of Christ?
Luke 9:18-27. Verses 23-26, reviewing the past year, how consistently have I taken up my cross daily? Specific wins and fails? Action point for today (practical, achievable)?
