Bible Thursday 10/5: Too Hard

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 105:1-45. Verse 41, when has God figuratively brought water out of rock for me or someone I know? How can this apply today to an area of my faith that needs strengthening?

I Chronicles 14:1-17. Verse 10, when has God given me a clear and complete answer to a decision I entrusted to him? What major decision shall I lay before him today?

II Corinthians 9:1-15. Verse 7, in what matters other than financial could I be a more cheerful giver? Assuming will-power alone won't accomplish that, how shall I pray?

Luke 9:10-17. Verse 13, when has Jesus asked something of me that seemed far too hard? How did it turn out? If I listen today, will I hear him making another such request? Prayer point?
