Bible Monday 10/9: Plow

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalm 106:1-48. Example after example of how God remembers us even when we forget him.  When has his faithfulness, undeserved, saved the day for me?

I Chronicles 18:1-17. Verse 14, David as a man of war and of justice. Is just war a valid concept biblically? Applicable to a secular regime like the USA? Make any difference to me?

II Corinthians 11:22-33. Verse 30 KJV, how have my infirmities been an occasion to glorify God? Prayer point for today?

Luke 9:57-62. Verse 62 KJV, specifically when and how did I put my hand to the plow for Jesus? In what form have I experienced, or do I now, the temptation to look back? To which God says?
