Bible Thursday 1/18: Worry Wart

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 16, what changes in approach could help me value others less by material status and more by character and conduct, as God does?

Deuteronomy 21:1-23. Encountering inhumane practices such as verses 13, 15, and 21, ostensibly commanded by God, what do I make of the Bible's claim to be divinely inspired throughout

Hebrews 9:11-15. Verse 14 KJV, in the way I spend my time this day, this week, which activities will truly serve God and which are merely dead works? Action point?

Matthew 6:19-34. Some tough love for me from Jesus. Verse 21, what do I falsely treasure? Verse 24, how do I put mammon (money) ahead of God? Verse 34, what habit of worry can I convert to a habit of prayer?
