Bible Monday 10/22: Harvest

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 9:1-20. Verse 8, what injustice would I ask God to step in and correct today? What role can I or my church play?

Nehemiah 9:1-38. Verse 3, does the time I regularly give God in my day or in my week measure up with how highly I claim to prioritize him? Action point?

Galatians 5:16-26. Verses 19-23, which of these works of the flesh poses a problem for me? Which of these fruits of the Spirit do I particularly need more of? Prayer point?

Luke 9:28-36. How does Peter’s clumsiness at the Transfiguration, first sleepy, then wanting to linger, typify my own failure to “get it” when Jesus is trying to show me a revelation?
