Bible Tuesday 11/13: Small Minds

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-72. Verses 19 and 41, in the needs I have been praying or worrying about, where am I limiting God?

Isaiah 18:1-7. Over who or what in our world today does God pronounce his sentence of woe and doom? Does it in any way affect me?

I Thessalonians 5:12-28. Verse 16, how can I put more rejoicing into today than yesterday? Verse 17, more praying today than yesterday? Verse 18, more gratitude today than yesterday?

Luke 14:1-6. The legalists and Jesus disagree over whether God’s love and mercy are available to anyone any time. Am I with them or with him?
