Bible Saturday 12/22: Book of Life

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 138:1-8. Verse 6 KJV, these lowly ones whom God loves — what can I do for them as Christmas approaches?

Isaiah 57:1-21. Verse 15 KJV, how shall I draw near God with a contrite and humble spirit at this hectic but holy season?

Revelation 20:1-15. Verse 12, how does one’s name get entered in this book of life? Am I in it, my family, my friends? Is this an action point for me or just an information point?

Luke 1:57-66. What part did God assign Elisabeth and Zacharias in salvation history? How did they do? What can I learn from them this Christmas?
