Bible Sunday 3/18: Really?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 145:1-21. Verse 18, in what specific ways can I sense the nearness of God? What obstructs me from sensing it? What shall I pray his nearness does for me today?

Jeremiah 46:1-28. Verse 10, is God's vengeance still a valid concept in Christian theology? Upon what does it act? With what result? For what purpose? Personal prayer point?

I Corinthians 1:1-9. Verse 5, enriched by Jesus in every way. Verse 7, lacking in no gift. What gift or enrichment do I most long to receive from the Lord right now?

Matthew 19:16-22. Opposite question, what do I sense Jesus most wants me to part with, that I may follow him unreservedly? What's stopping me?
