Bible Saturday 6/2: Lotta Shakin'

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 30:1-12. Verse 2 KJV, what healing is needed right now for me or someone important to me? Am I certain or uncertain God can do this? Is my prayer for this full-on or so-so?

I Samuel 14:1-52. Verses 43-45, what is the worst family conflict or breach I've ever experienced? How did God show up? What did I learn? Present application?

Acts 4:23-31. Verse 31, if I and others in my church prayed together to shake something up, what exactly would that be? How can we become more of a praying church? First step?

John 18:1-11. Verse 6, Jesus' "I am" statement, identifying as God, literally flattens them. Verse 11, Jesus deliberately chooses the cross. What hard choice shall I make today -- for Him?
