Bible Friday 6/1: People-pleasers

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 35:1-28. Verses 5 and 6 KJV, shall I pray more intentionally, as David did, for God's angels to come to my aid? What angel on what errand would I have him send today?

I Samuel 13:1-23. When have I plunged ahead willfully, fearfully, hastily, instead of waiting on God in obedience and trust? What did I learn? Present application?

Acts 4:13-22. Verse 13, when someone is checking me out, how readily would they observe or learn that I've "been with Jesus"? Action point?

John 12:42-50. Verse 4,. moral cowardice exactly opposite to moral courage as seen in Acts 4:19. How does people-pleasing get in the way of my Christian witness? Antidote?
