Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 67:1-7. Verse 2 KJV, do I look to God as the first resort or the last resort for my health needs and those of others? Action point?
Ezekiel 43:1-27. Verse 3 KJV, why is falling on our face before God not done in my circles as in other times or faiths? How does my bodily posture relate to my spiritual posture with Him?
Ephesians 3:14 - 4:6. Verse 20 invokes a God for whom no request is too big. What ongoing prayer of mine may be smaller than what he is ready to do if asked?
John 16:1-15. Verse 2, where today do the followers of Jesus literally risk their lives? How can I better support them? Could it ever get that bad here? What would I do?
