Bible Thursday 6/7: Help Wanted

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 50:1-23. Verse 10, often quoted to symbolize the unimaginable riches at God's disposal. To what financial or economic concern in my life can I apply this promise of abundance?

I Samuel 19:1-24. Verse 18 onward, potency of the Holy Spirit to take over any situation. What would I pray for the Spirit to show up and adjust today in my world?

Acts 6:1-7. Holy Spirit mentioned again twice.  Where do I need his help placing the right person in a job, or being placed myself, or equipping someone to do a job?

John 19:17-27. What position does Mary the mother of our Lord occupy in my faith, based on Jesus' dying words? Who is she to me? Who am I to her?
