Bible Wednesday 8/1: His Whisper

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:73-96. Verses 93 and 94 KJV, to review, what are some of God's precepts that I am to keep constantly before me?

I Kings 19:1-21. Verse 4, when has God had to pull me out of depression and discouragement? Verse 12, when have I heard his whisper through the storm? Verse 18, when has he sent allies into my loneliness?

Acts 27:1-12. Why do all these details of weather, ships, routes, ports, and persons belong in a book of God's revealed Word for all time?

Mark 8:13-21. Verse 15, how does Jesus' warning about relying on the wrong leaven apply to my thoughts and actions in following him today?
