Bible Friday 7/13: Apple of His Eye

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 17:1-15. Verse 8 KJV, if I'm the apple of God's eye, what can I therefore expect he might give me, show me, tell me, do for me, as this day goes along?

II Samuel 24:1-25. Why did David regret ordering the census? What lesson does this grim story teach about the God we serve?

Acts 19:1-10. What has my baptism meant in a life of following Jesus? As I share Christ with others, where does baptism come in? Is my church on target with this?

Mark 4:21-25. Verse 21, is Jesus pleased with what I am doing with the candle he gave me? Verse 25, how can this rule come from a God of love? How has this operated in my experience?
