Bible Tuesday 7/24: Will the Dead Rise?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 45:1-17. Hebrews 1 says this is about the Messiah. Verse 7, where are my likes and dislikes out of line with Jesus' likes and dislikes? Action point?

I Kings 11:1-43. Solomon favors his wives and disfavors God. Why do sin and self-indulgence overtake us when we know better? When have I been there? What did I learn?

Acts 22:30 - 23:10. Who are the Sadducees of today, denying resurrection and the spiritual realm? Why does it matter?

Mark 6:45-52. Verse 52, why must the miracle of the loaves and the miracle at sea be considered together? Have I truly done so? Verse 50, do others see in me a Christ-follower "of good cheer"?
