Bible Monday 8/27: Skeptics

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 1:1-6. Verse 2 KJV, how can I meditate more faithfully today on God's law, his love, his justice, his mercy?

II Kings 23:1-37. Josiah rededicates the nation to God, but it's soon undone religiously and politically. When have I done the right thing but there was a wrong outcome anyway? Was it all in vain?

Job 3:1-26. Verse 25, why does fear tend to be self-fulfilling? What is God's antidote? Application for me today?

Mark 12:18-27. Verse 24, why does it seem some people want the Bible to be untrue and God unreal? When baited this way by someone, how would I answer him from my own experience?
