Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 30:1-12. Verse 11, what is the biggest reversal of circumstances God has ever done for me? What did I learn? Application to my present situation?
Job 15:1-35. Where have I encountered this harsh, scowling kind of religion? Why are some non-believers convinced this IS the Christian faith? Do I ever treat myself or others this way?
II Corinthians 1:12 - 2:2. Verse 12 KJV, how will the choice between fleshly wisdom and God's grace present itself to me today? Who might be helped or hurt as a result?
Mark 14:27-31. When have I overestimated my spiritual readiness as Peter did, learning better the hard way? Present application? Prayer point?
