Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 91:1-16. Verse 11, if different angels perform different offices for God's providence over us, what are my assigned angels invisibly busy with right now, working his purpose for me?
II Kings 6:1-33. Verses 16-18, when has God opened my eyes to behold his superiority in a situation that humanly looked hopeless?
II Peter 3:8-13. Verse 13, can I and my fellow Christians play a role now in God's plan for everything made new and righteous, or does it all await the end times? Action point?
Mark 9:38-41. On the question of "who is with Jesus," do I and my church need to be less inclusive or more inclusive? Action point?
