Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 91:1-16. Verse 11, what do I need God’s angels to specifically do for me today? Verse 13, what roaring lion or hissing snake do I need his protection from?
Job 35:1-16. Verse 14, when have I had to trust God without any evidence or sight? What did I learn? Present application?
I John 1:1 - 2:2. Verses 8-10, when have I been in denial about sin? What was the result? When have I experienced how confession leads to forgiveness and cleansing? Action today?
Luke 5:12-16. Who that is outcast, isolated, overlooked, marginalized, needs me to notice and touch them in a Christly way today?
