Bible Saturday 9/29: Teachable

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 87:1-7. How do I claim the Zion birth certificate described here? How does it benefit me? How does it obligate me? How does it make today different?

Job 36:1-33. Verse 22 KJV, what has God taught me recently? What do I pray he will teach me next? How can be more teachable for him today?

I John 2:3-14. Verses 13 and 14, wherever I find myself in life, younger, older, what is the most spiritually rich relationship I have across generational lines? How can I deepen it today?

Luke 5:17-26. Who needs my help getting into Jesus’ presence today? What partners can I recruit in so doing? What roof might we need to take off in the process?
