Bible Wednesday 9/12: Redeemer

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:49-72. Verse 59 KJV, thinking on my ways, what are some of them I’d ask God to help me change?

Job 19:1-29. Verses 25 and 26, reading this cry of faith, centuries before the Incarnation, can I doubt the Bible is all one story, the story of Jesus coming to redeem us?

II Corinthians 5:1-11. How does this teaching inform the attitude God wants me to have about my body and the care I am to take of it, with his help?

Mark 14:66-72. What happened in a few hours to make Peter forget his vow of dying with Jesus? Why didn’t he exit after the first denial? Why did he curse? When have I acted this way?
