Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 34:1-22. Verse 7, if God’s angel camped at my house today, how could I tell? What would happen?
Genesis 41:1-57. Verse 16, “It is not in me. God has the answer.” What matter that I am concerned with, should I yield over to him today?
Romans 1:1-17. Verses 1, 6, and 7 KJV, those whom God has called. How would I explain to an inquirer my “calling” as a Christian? What does this require of me today, right now?
Matthew 11:16-24. Verse 19, Jesus written off as a drunk and a lowlife. With what labels does the worldly mind dismiss him now? What winsome or disarming reply can I give?
